Flora Tabanelli is one of the brightest stars in international freestyle skiing, rapidly establishing herself among the most exciting talents in the discipline.
Originally from Sestola and grown in Livigno, Flora developed her career alongside her brother Miro Tabanelli, also a top-level freestyle athlete. She made an immediate impact on the international scene, becoming only the second Italian woman after Silvia Bertagna to reach a World Cup podium with a third-place finish in Beijing in December 2023, achieved in just her third World Cup appearance.
In 2024, Flora confirmed her enormous potential at the Winter Youth Olympic Games, where she carried the Italian flag and won two gold medals in Slopestyle and Big Air. Her rise continued throughout 2025 with her first World Cup victory in Big Air at Kreischberg, followed by another historic milestone as the first Italian athlete to win gold in Big Air at the Winter X Games.
The same season, Flora also captured the Big Air gold medal at the FIS Freestyle Ski and Snowboarding World Championships and finished the year by winning both the World Cup Big Air title and the overall Freeski Park & Pipe crystal globe — becoming the first Italian athlete ever to secure the overall freestyle title.
At the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games, Flora added another historic achievement to her career. Despite competing with a torn ligament in her right knee, she won the bronze medal, securing the first Olympic medal ever for Italy in this discipline.
Her performance, achieved under extremely difficult physical conditions, further confirmed her determination, competitive mentality, and ability to perform at the highest level on the international stage.
