Hannah, who comes from Antholz in South Tyrol, has been actively competing since the 2018–2019 season and has established herself as one of the most promising athletes of the new generation in biathlon.
She has achieved remarkable success in international competitions from the early stages of her career. At the 2021 Junior World Championships in Obertilliach, she won the silver medal in the relay event. At the 2022 Junior World Championships in Soldier Hollow, Hannah secured the gold medal in the relay and the silver medal in the pursuit event.
In her debut at the Oberhof 2023 World Championships, she won the gold medal in the relay event (alongside Samuela Comola, Dorothea Wierer, and Lisa Vittozzi) and achieved respectable placements in sprint, pursuit, mass start, and individual events.
Auchentaller carried this momentum into the 2024/25 winter season. In the first trimester, she scored points in six out of seven World Cup races, including her first Top-10 finish in the sprint at Le Grand-Bornand and a 13th place in the mass start at the same venue. Over the course of the season, she helped secure three Top-5 results in the women’s and mixed relays. At the end of the season, she became Italian champion in the mass start, stepping in strongly in the absence of Dorothea Wierer and Lisa Vittozzi.
The 2025/2026 season marked a major step forward in Hannah’s career. She confirmed her growth as a reliable and competitive presence within the Italian biathlon team, consistently contributing strong performances across relay and individual events throughout the World Cup season. Her progression and consistency earned her a key role within the national squad, and she was among the protagonists of the Team Italia at the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Games, where she contributed to the team’s overall strong performances and confirmed her status as an emerging athlete at the highest international level.
Hannah is fluent in three languages, which enables her to be a talented brand ambassador.
